ecamb and AltCity are proud to officially announce joining forces to work together to help build the local entrepreneurship ecosystem in Lebanon, including running their flagship startup competition and accelerator program.
The two groups bring together a rich tapestry of experience, innovative ideas and approaches, as well as a powerful network to support startups to develop their ideas, launch, and grow. This partnership will emphasize “socially-responsible startups”, for-profit businesses that seek to have a positive impact as they work to develop into sustainable, scalable, and profitable businesses ventures.
ecamb, with deep connections to the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cambridge, UK, will provide a strong network and access to trainings, materials, mentorship, and other valuable support to emerging startups. ecamb founders are affiliated with the Cambridge Center for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL), a not-for-profit organisation based at Cambridge Judge Business School, one of the departments of the University of Cambridge’s School of Technology, and are currently working to launch startup programs with local partners in Russia, France, the UK, Malaysia and now with AltCity in Lebanon.
Located in the Hamra district of Beirut, in the heart of Lebanon, AltCity is building a strong community innovation and entrepreneurship hub by providing a fertile space for a variety of activities, including a newsroom/media cafe, event space, meeting/workshop rooms, office/coworking spaces, business/startup services, a multimedia lab, and more. AltCity brings local knowledge and a thorough understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the challenges faced by local entrepreneurs, and is developing innovative programs to help entrepreneurs and startups at various stages of the startup and business lifecycle.
